Deep Roots in Pittsburgh's East End
My knowledge of Pittsburgh’s East End comes from more than studying market reports or reviewing comparable sales. It comes from living, working, owning businesses, and raising a family in these neighborhoods for decades.
I have lived in Highland Park for more than 30 years. Before that, I spent years living in different parts of Shadyside, giving me firsthand experience with its distinct residential areas and the lifestyles they offer.
My connection to Shadyside also extends well beyond living there. Before entering real estate, I spent more than three decades in the restaurant industry, eventually owning and operating several restaurants—including one in each of Shadyside’s three business districts: Walnut Street, Highland Avenue, and Ellsworth Avenue.
My Highland Avenue business sat near the East Liberty border, and living in Highland Park placed East Liberty in the middle of my daily life. I have watched the neighborhood evolve block by block—from a community working to redefine itself to one of Pittsburgh’s most important centers for dining, shopping, development, technology, and residential investment.
This isn’t simply the market where I sell real estate. It is where I have built businesses, owned homes, raised a family, and lived my life.
Business Experience That Shapes to My Work Today
Owning and operating restaurants required much more than serving customers. It meant managing employees, cash flow, vendors, permitting, customer relationships, unexpected problems, and countless competing priorities.
That experience taught me how to remain calm, communicate clearly, solve problems, and keep complicated situations moving forward.
Those lessons now shape how I handle real estate transactions involving multiple people, financial considerations, inspections, negotiations, deadlines, and important decisions. Real estate can become complicated. My job is to bring organization and perspective to the process, reduce surprises, and help everyone remain focused on the outcome.
